“HALLUCINATION” AT TORONTO FILM FEST

Hallucination TEE-M - Reel Worlds Film Festival Laurel

Decipher Pictures and TEE-M’s Hallucination is an Official Selection of the 11th Annual ReelWorld Film Festival in prestigious Toronto, Canada, a premiere destination for the celebration of both filmmaking and music. Showcasing independent cinema by filmmakers and artists from Aboriginal, Asian, Black, Latino, Middle Eastern, South Asian and other multi-racial communities, ReelWorld is a unique Canadian-based film festival truly reflecting the racially diverse cultures of the World.  The festival is held  in downtown Toronto from April 6th to April 10th, 2011, and will host the Canadian premiere of “Hallucination.” The short narrative film is also the third music video from Pakistani rock star TEE-M’s debut album “EARTHIOTIC… songsfromaoneroompalace,” and marks the second collaboration with director Chris Jean and Decipher Pictures.

The film was shot at a photography studio in Los Angeles and was produced entirely using digital filmmaking tools including the Canon 5D Mark II camera system with Lensbaby selective focus lens, and was edited on Final Cut Pro HD for Macintosh. The video is shot by Kelly Jones, edited by Race Owen and features costumes designed by Rosalida Medina for Decipher Pictures. To explore “Hallucination” further, read the article “Rock and Roll and the American Dream in the Modern Age” by Ashley Wren Collins for The Huffington Post (May 26, 2010), based on an interview conducted with TEE-M, Chris Jean and Race Owen.
