Decipher Pictures and TEE-M’s Hallucination is an Official Selection of the 12th Annual On Location: Memphis International Film & Music Festival in historic Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace of numerous major American music genres including the Blues, Gospel and Rock n’ Roll. Memphis is also the location of Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley and one of the most visited houses in the United States (second only to the White House), listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1991. Along with Presley, music legends Johnny Cash, Isaac Hayes and B. B. King all got their start in Memphis during America’s 1950′s music revolution.
Held from April 7th to April 10th, 2011, the goal of the Festival is to advance, educate and inspire professionals in the cinema arts, connect the regional audience to the work of local and global filmmakers and to collaborate with other organizations to strengthen the film community and the economic development of Memphis. Hallucination is a short narrative film and the third music video from Pakistani rock star TEE-M’s debut album “EARTHIOTIC… songsfromaoneroompalace,” and marks the second collaboration with director Chris Jean and Decipher Pictures.
The film was shot at a photography studio in Los Angeles and was produced entirely using digital filmmaking tools including the Canon 5D Mark II camera system with Lensbaby selective focus lens, and was edited on Final Cut Pro HD for Macintosh. The video is shot by Kelly Jones, edited by Race Owen and features costumes designed by Rosalida Medina for Decipher Pictures.
